Monster
On January 15, 2008 the truth will finally be told.
After a massive earthquake in Tokyo, two American filmmakers document their experience as they attempt to escape from the decimated city.
For the first time, this film will present the heroic sisters’ raw footage, which finally reveals the true cause of the destruction.
Was the original footage lost… or was it suppressed?
Watch the trailer for an advance look at this amazing visual document.

¡Gracias por esas palabras muy buenas! (I hope that’s right…)
January 11th, 2008 at 3:22 am
So, you guys just happen to put out films of similar context when ever a big budget film is released? Come on,now!
PIRATES OF TREASURE ISLAND is a rip from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN (LOOK AT THE LOGO ON YOUR COVER AND THERE’S. FISHY?
I AM OMEGA IS A RIP OF I AM LEGEND
AVH: ALIEN VS HUNTER IS A RIP OF ALIEN VS PREDATOR
DA VINCI TREASURE IS A RIP OF THE DE VINCI CODE
HILLSIDE CANNIBALS IS A RIP OF THE HILLS HAVE EYES
EXORCISM: THE POSSESSION OF GAIL BOWERS IS A RIP OF The Exorcism of Emily Rose
HALLOWEEN NIGHT IS A RIP OF HALLOWEEN
Don’t say ,”I have never heard of those movies before.” They are not rip offs! Why not something original? Hell troma entertainment makes cheesey films ,but there original(No, I do not work for said co).
You say ,”What’s cloverfeild”? Do you not watch tv or surf the net? It must be rough comin up with ideas for movies..( Here’s what i think you have a huge sheet with the list of movies the big budget studios will be releasing. You guys, whom ever is in charge close there eyes and point and pick) Then you put out a memo . I’m right ..Right?
January 11th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Oh, no! Someone’s figured out our business plan! Now we’ll never be able to release RAMBEAUX or HENRY PORTER AND THE HALF-PRICED PRINTS!!!
January 11th, 2008 at 11:13 am
hhehhahah, I like your spirited replies here, Admin. when is RAMBEAUX coming out? the World needs it.
i’m actually pretty impressed with Asylum’s output and its skills to foresee how those Hollywood hacks will rip you off soon after your movies are released.
also intrigued by how you’ve never produced a gory thriller about a moralistic psychopath that puts people in elaborated traps… it’s been a Halloween favourite trend for some years now.
who distributes you guys in Brazil?
January 11th, 2008 at 11:59 am
Thanks, Hector! I appreciate that!
Actually, The Asylum used to produce and distribute horror films almost exclusively… but it was the distributors of that series of films about a moralistic psychopath that puts people in elaborate traps (you mean Veggie Tales, right?) that inundated the market and kind of pushed us out of that genre.
That’s why our niche has since become the mockbusters that everyone loves so much.
We’re distributed by a number of companies in Brazil, including; Casablanca, Amazonas, Ocean Pictures, and California.
I have to go now… we’re finishing up the script for Cidade de Deus 2: Buscapay vs Rambeaux.

Ah, the cheese level is at “thick and drippy.”
As fun as your generic-brand films are, I think I’ll go with the national brand for now. See, I actually watched your version of “War of the Worlds.” That’s hours of my life I won’t get back.
January 11th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
But the film was only an hour and half long…
January 11th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
thanks for the reply! cracked me up. =D
will check out MONSTER next week.
January 11th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Forget these idiots and anyone who can’t be bothered to look at the title of the movie they’re renting. I love that there’s a company out there that’s doing this, still making movies without millions of dollars and an all-star cast of whiney annorexic dinks. Screw big Hollywood! Long Live Asylum!
January 11th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
Felizito this producer for his films, not taken into account an shoot some film on the work of HP Lovecraft?
disculpen mi ingles, es algo.. “malo”
January 11th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
I have to admit I am looking forward to Cloverfield but when i got to see monster in advance I had to check it out i like the packaging the film however was two stars out of five valid attempt! I have a few original ideas of my own if yall have studio money to throw around for a descent pitch for a movie. Keep up the good work at the asylum.
P.S. monster was better then AVH which I did not make it all the way through.
Sincerely Ernie

Hector, I AM OMEGA will be released in Brazil by Flashstar under the title of BATALHA DOS MORTOS (translating to english… BATTLE OF THE DEAD).
January 21st, 2008 at 9:14 pm
what in the hell, i really thought this movie was real
January 21st, 2008 at 10:38 pm
Does it make you feel bad that by cashing in on a good idea that you are actually starting to become exactly like Hollywood? Taking an idea someone else already had and twisting it into a marketable vessel…I enjoy a nice Sci-Fi Channel original movie as much as the next guy, but why not try to be a little more creative and make movies that haven’t been done before? I have to admit cashing in on Hollywood is really low…
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:45 pm
There are movies that haven’t been done before?
January 27th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
I hate what Asylum is doing. But it might be good thing. They are making this movies for the fans. Thank you Asylum.
1.Death Note.
2.The Mist.
3.D-Wars.
4.Terror of mecha godzilla.
5.Plan 9 from Outer Space.
6.The Host.
7.Yongary, Monster from the Deep.

February 3rd, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Ok, you guys are so horrible at making movies. When i was watching Monster i couldn’t stop laughing at how bad it is. What are you thinking. You are genius. If a shitty capitalistic society, you can make money from degenerate pieces of art like this one, because no one has the ball to put you out of business. Man i can’t even express how happy i am that i wrote this, because you guys are awesome.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:55 am
wtf, that movie monster was so fuckin stupid, i really shouldnt have wasted my time watching it, i mean seriously whoever came up with the idea should really be fired and never allowed to suggest a movie theme ever again. that film just really pissed me off, and thats bad when watching a movie makes you mad.
February 5th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
This has anally mangled donkey fuck spack whack cock suck shit faced ass ripoff written all over it. Get your own ideas. This is pathetic. How can you call yourselves movie producers? Sure you say “what movie hasn’t been copied before” but “snakes on a train”? “transmorphers” are you fucking kidding me? And now “Monster”?? Ha, Cloverfield had the SOL head being thrown on the trailer, and all you got is a crappy CGI’d car. This company just makes direct rip offs of others. You’re not original and everyone can see it. You can’t back up your shitty arguements with the fact that other ideas and concepts are used more than once, because you are copying ideas DIRECTLY, EXACTLY AND PRECISELY. Infact, I’d go as far to not call it “using someones idea”, but plain old plagiarism. And it’s so laughably obvious. Get your own ideas, douchebag. I assume you won’t publish my message, due to the fact that you are all cowards, but for the sake of arguement, I have made a kiddy free version:
This has ugly crayon marks written all over it. Get your own ideas. This is pathetic. How can you call yourselves movie producers? Sure you say “what movie hasn’t been copied before” but “snakes on a train”? “transmorphers” are you squeaking the duck? And now “Monster”?? Ha, Cloverfield had the SOL head being thrown on the trailer, and all you got is a silly CGI’d car. This company just makes direct rip offs of others. You’re not original and everyone can see it. You can’t back up your dirty arguements with the fact that other ideas and concepts are used more than once, because you are copying ideas DIRECTLY, EXACTLY AND PRECISELY. Infact, I’d go as far to not call it “using someones idea”, but plain old plagiarism. And it’s so laughably obvious. Get your own ideas, snackpack.
And now, just INCASE you can’t comprehend that, here is the “Asylum friendly” edition.
Yea, your movies are okie dokie. I don’t really likes that one wif da robot, but it is pre’ good. keep up da gooch works! your number 2 big fan:
geraldine.
February 5th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
There’s a reason all of your movies have ratings of 4 or lower on IMDB.
February 5th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
On January 15, 2008 the truth will finally be told.
After a massive decline in profits, the Asylum decided to cash in on one of the most hyped movies of the decade: Cloverfield.
For the first time, this film will present the terribly filmed, $4.00 CGI footage, which finally reveals the true intention of the Asylum: To cash in on unsuspecting customers who have been fooled by the incredible amount of consistencies between both movies and their plots (all of the Asylum’s featuring devastingly worse acting/plots/artwork (if you wanna go as far as to call it that) and “special” effects.
Was the original footage a coincidence… or was it plagiarised?
Watch the trailer for an advance look at this amazingly visual turd.
Then you decide.
February 5th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
I myself saw War of the Worlds. A friend and I have been trying to see more of your studio’s films. I myself am looking a bit foward to AVH and maybe that 10 MILLION BC film. I’d love to make films for you.
February 7th, 2008 at 4:51 am
hi there, I ve been looking at some of the movies here… and they do have a strinking resemblance with certain hollywood blockbusters. but… I’m convinced this is al a Coincidence.just like there is a turkish superman on youtube en some indian dude who’s sings micheal jackson’s thriller in indian
but i’m gonna get to the point now. I’m from Holland en i wondered, where can I buy your movies??
take care now
February 16th, 2008 at 7:40 am
i have so much more respect for asylum entertainment after reading these uproarious comments.
this one in particular left me rolling:
>This is crazy! The major studios ARE releasing films just like ours! Thanks for the heads-up! I’d better call our lawyers…
let me know when you get around to releasing “requiem for a nightmare.”
February 24th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Man I love your movies! Keep doing your stuff, ’cause this is awesome! Keep it real! And what’s all this nonsense about you riping off Hollywood?! I never heard for ‘Cloverfield’ or ‘King Kong’,'AVP’ and such. To blame you like that……..! It’s unbelievable what some people would do for some attention…..
February 25th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
Okay, I’m fine with the whole “Mockbuster” thing. That’s how you guys make money. But Transmorphers? TRANSMORPHERS? TRANS GOD DAMN MORPHERS? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Jesus Christ almighty in heaven rolling in dog cum. I feel nauseous when I look at the trailer. I have no words to describe the kind of appalled that I am feeling. This just feels insulting. I have to watch it.
February 27th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
seriously..
if you listen to the cloverfield monster roar,
then play it backwards, it the exact same roar in the monster trailer its all here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrjm2yVkvYo
beleive me asylum u will here more from me….
February 28th, 2008 at 1:08 am
Fools! They don’t even realize how close they came to the truth. The roar is nothing. Had they played the entire movie backwards, they would have realized that it’s actually just the last two episodes of “Gilmore Girls.”
February 28th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
ha ha agreed admin

“This is crazy! The major studios ARE releasing films just like ours! Thanks for the heads-up! I’d better call our lawyers…” Ha, that’s hilarious! Come on people, obviously the company is aware of what they are doing and that the public is aware of it. Duh! The best one was by Steve Fletcherson..”So, you guys just happen to put out films of similar context when ever a big budget film is released? Come on,now!
PIRATES OF TREASURE ISLAND is a rip from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN (LOOK AT THE LOGO ON YOUR COVER AND THERE’S. FISHY?

Can’t believe this one didn’t get as much attention as that knockoff with the airplane…
March 10th, 2008 at 2:50 am
I like Monster, It’s a good movie. The fact the they were filmmakers in the movie made me want to watch the movie. I think it was those to actresses that really got me into the movie
. I can’t wait to see all the other movies.
April 7th, 2008 at 3:38 am
hahaha snakes on a tricyle lol you’ve got to make that XD
April 7th, 2008 at 3:39 am
Do you even get to see the monster or is it just tentacles
April 10th, 2008 at 10:14 am
OH my god how dare they copy off of cloverfield.I only saw the trailer but by the look of it all it is is just a friggin cloverfield rip off.I mean come on the monster even sounds like the roar cloverfield makes. All they did was just make it take place in tokyo and make it revolve around two girls.
